Pandemics Change How We Do Things
The pandemic brought all sorts of changes to how organizations operated. The Zen Garland centers are deeply embedded in their local communities, but of course that became problematic for everyone in 2020.
They needed a way to stay connected to everyone they served, so a new, expanded website became crucial.
ZGO now operates in both the digital and analog world of Zen Buddhism. They run philanthropic programs for refugees, teach courses, and connect with community (sangha) members across the world.
They run all aspects of the site themselves now. This includes managing fundraising efforts and building online courses.
